I still strongly believe that -- barring a plot twist with Jalen Hurts -- the absolutely best thing to do in the draft is to load up on first-round defense picks. Get 'em right and they can turn that whole unit around

Draft picks take a big hit today....Colts now only 1 game out of 1st place and Miami comes back and beats the Jets.

10-Jameson Williams WR Alabama
14-Devin Lloyd LB Utah
23- Andrew Booth Jr, CB Clemson

I kind of like it!

i hate saying this but they need to follow Dallas' plan, assuming it was a plan. Sign a no. 1 WR (like Dallas did with A. Cooper). Stop wasting draft picks on this position. Use your draft on D, like Dallas did in 2021. You have a top TE, good RBs, Good to great O-line. Get that no. 1 WR and build the D.

Yeah I'm not keen on another first round WR.

Doesn't it come down to who can you sign as WR or Defense in FA's? Then measuring that against who you can take in the draft? I really like the WR from Alabama. Three years in a row? Not so much.

What do we have for cap space. 25 million?

Here is another interesting aspect about the upcoming draft...do you trade up for a big Defensive name and shrink your draft picks? Do you trade back and pick up extra 2nd's and 3rd's? Or do you look long term at next years draft. If you trade back do you have room on the roster for 13 or more new players?

Here is a truism overstatement...its an important off sesason for the Birds.

They still need a #1 type receiver...Devonte can be a 1B or a 2 IMO, but you need a....wait fotr it Justin Jefferson type of receiver...one that can play at all 3 levels...Not sure if that is a drafted guy or a FA...I would rather have a veteran, but I want a guy that is in his 20s still not some 34 year old dude.

That being said, the Eagles draft picks all have a chance of being higher then 15 now

Not many true #1 WR under 30 will be free agents in 2022.
Here's the best of the bunch and their playing age for next season :

1 . Davante Adams, Packers - 29

2. Chris Godwin, Buccaneers - 26

3. Allen Robinson, Bears - 28

4. Mike Williams, Chargers 28

5. JuJu Smith-Schuster, Steelers - 28

Would have loved Godwin, but he tore his ACL this week....of this group Robinson and Williams would be my choices.....ZERO interest in JuJu

young no. type 1 WR's dont shake free for a reason. unless your a diva or malcontent, the team is keeping them until the ages your are seeing this current crop. they got TO at like 30, their best free agent WR. They got Alshon at 28, maybe their 2nd best.
