Prior to today’s game, the Phillies returned RHP Orion Kerkering from his rehab assignment with Clearwater (A) and reinstated him from the 15-day injured list. To make room for him on the 26-man roster, RHP Nick Nelson was optioned to Lehigh Valley (AAA) after yesterday’s game.
