Merrifield released. W. Wilson called up. Kinda shocked at this.

It's the right move.

Merrifield gets a chance to latch on somewhere, the Phillies clear a roster spot for a trade. I can't imagine that Wilson is the solution.

The emotional letdown facing the As after sweeping the Dodgers must have been huge. This result shouldn't be a surprise or cause for concern.
