Braced for Bryant to Seattle.
Assuming that the Phils are willing to spend up to the luxury tax - they have 50ish mil to spend

Bryant, Schwarber and a bullpen arm
Schwarber will cost about 3/60
Bryant somewhere in the neighborhood of 6/150

So that is 45M leaves 5+ on an arm

But that leaves no money for a Brad Miller type or other bench pieces not to mention the Phils will need at least 1 starter

I know it's a pipe dream anyway, but if they got Bryant AND Schwarber, they wouldn't really need Miller.

But they really do need two everyday bats, unless (and who am I kidding) they just plan to cycle trash through the DH slot. Or they'll justify it by saying they'll cycle Harper/Realmuto/Hoskins through the DH slot, which means we'll have trash in RF, C or 1B on those days.

Need a real DH bat.

Not ready to settle or give up on Bryant, but signing the trio of Schwarber, Miller, McCutchen and platooning wisely wouldn't be awful and would leave dollars for pitching.

Or, fuck it, just get Correa

I agree as that is the only way they will have a shot and won't continue to waste Bryce's prime

Otherwise 500 hell will continue

They need 3 bats

However,

Segura
JT
Bryce
Schwarber
KB
Rhys
Bohm
Didi/Stott
DH du jour

will score some runs....

Andrelton Simmons value has plummeted

Cubs sign him 1/4 (+ incentives)

Agreed. That's where I'm at honestly, they need to spend a lot of money and if you're going to spend you might as well get the best out there at a big position of need.
