Agreed. While small sample size, he's a better hitter overall than Odubel. And he at least has some upside.

Updated batting orders with 11 days until opening day, just a prediction. Obviously things can change:

Versus RHP
LF Schwarber
C Realmuto
RF Harper
DH Castellanos
SS Didi
1B Hoskins
3B Stott
2B Segura
CF Moniak

I dont like hitting Didi 5th, but I think Giardi will go for a balanced lineup

Versus LHP
2B Segura
C Realmuto
RF Harper
LF Castellanos
1B Hoskins
DH Schwarber
CF Vieling
SS Didi
3B Camargo/Stott

This all changes if they decide to go with Bohm over Stott. I think Didi starting is a lock now. Either way, IMO it is one of or the other, you want the one who does not go North to start every day at AAA. Or, you could see a trade

Haseley traded to the White Sox.

Phillies get nondescript RH reliever McKinley Moore, thus ending another first-round bust's story: https://www.baseball-reference.com/regi ... ore-000mck

That must mean Moniak is going north and probably will see a fair amount of PT, right?

Makes sense. Also opens up a roster spot for Stott...

Yeah, I'm assuming that Moore doesn't need to be on the 40-man

Matt Winkelman
@Matt_Winkelman
Extremely Phillies type of pickup, big RP prospect in the mid 90s up to 99 according to Baseball America, with a slider people like. Control problems. Will probably be part of a hard throwing and erratic AA bullpen.

Where's the appreciation thread?

Reasonable chance Herrera will never get a plate appearance for the Phillies this year ... in which case they gave him a $1.5M parting gift atop his 2022 buyout.

Where do I sign up for a $1.5M parting gift?

I am sure there is a Go Fund Me page somewhere...
