The Deets

[The Philadelphia Phillies and former All-Star closer Jordan Romano agreed to a one-year, $7.75-million contract.]
Phillies hoping that 2024 was anomaly due to his injury.

It looks like the Phillies are hoping that 2022, 2023, and 2024 were anomalies, but to pretty much everyone else, it kind of looks like the norm now. Too many players that try to play hero ball during every at bat.

Too much chatter out there about Nolan Arenado
If they trade for this 34 year old on the way down ,andor include Crawford in the deal.Dumbo has outlived his usefulness and Middleton is clueless
The Idea is to get younger ,faster, and more contact hitters. Arenado is old, slow, and not the kind of hitter they need

Phillies reportedly offered Bohm and Castellanos to the Astros for Tucker and it was turned down.

Don't really blame the Astros there, if this was true.

Nobody with a brain will trade for crap like Castellanos. Bohm isn't going to sweetin any deal enough for a team to accept Castellanos on.

Theme so far this offseason is that Dombrowski isnt willing to part with much of the teams top prospects (I don't blame him). We might have to accept another season of the team trying to sell us another runback of basically the same team. We all know how that will end.

Another declining veteran past whatever prime he was in. A waste of $10 million to be honest.

May not even be a playoff team to be honest.
