My unpopular take: The right thing is to give Giroux a shot at at the Cup. Kind of like when the Phillies traded Daulton to the Marlins.

Bottom line. This is a Junk return for a flyer who hasn’t been as this coveted during the tdl since forsberg. Just awful

In theory I'm happy Giroux gets to go where he wants but in practice Fletcher is such a shitty GM who is horrible at managing assets so getting a good return on one of their few assets they have to trade and not give dumbass extensions to is a must.
In summary fire Fletcher.

Gotta believe it was more than just Fletcher making the final call but, yeah, this organization is a mess right now. I guess there was only so much Danny could do in the short time he had his official role.
