I think the Phillies have been keeping their eye on Sean Manaea, who would only be a one-year rental.
Nola pitching like a #4 would be very rough, but not fatal, to this team's chances. Suarez, Eflin and Gibson all have the ability to basically be #3-level starters. If one of them exceeds expectations and/or if you trade for Manaea, this can still be a good staff, especially with the offense. It really gives you no wiggle room, though, in needing Wheeler to be the ace.

Lots of sloppy middle-middle hangers and fat fastballs. .Hope it’s just early and experimenting,but looks so much like the last 2 years..
