Moniak with a rough atbat versus the lefty....why I firmly believe you want Vierling and him to be a pure platoon.

Vierling should be getting a bulk of the starts, no pure platoon.

Todd Zolecki
@ToddZolecki
Bryce Harper homers over the RF wall. Hit the ball so hard (112.8 mph) that the kid with the glove on the berm pulled back his arm at the last second. No thanks.

You just hate Moniak, you're not being objective

Vierling has never had drastic splits and actually hit righties better than lefties last year. Also he hits the ball really hard, don't really see why you'd go straight platoon there.

Want them both to succeed wildly.
Plus Bohm & Stott to succeed.
Plus Didi to bounce back strong.

At worst, it gives us depth (for once) when the inevitable injuries strike.
At best, maybe we finally have that "good problem" of having too many guys who've earned playing time.

Based on the way they've been doing things I don't think they'll go straight platoon but I never understood how people seemed to think "oh this guy bats left and this guy bats right so they should platoon" the point of a platoon is to give you a handed advantage. It'd make sense to platoon guys like Cutch and Brad Miller who had .650/1.027 and .824/.538 splits last year. Doesn't make much sense to do it when one guy in the potential platoon has hit same handed pitching better than opposite his whole career.
