Hoskins still dropping his knees after the pitcher releases and his bat head goes under the path of the pitch, so he continues to either hit the bottom of the ball or misses, entirely.

He is in one of his all too familiar slumps...he was swinging it good the first couple of games and since he is what we see 3 times a year, usually for several weeks to a month. It is simply amazing that he goes through this and us common fans see exactly what he is doing, yet he continues to fall into the same bad habits.

Segura is also looking very bad this ST....need both of these guys to get it going.

But take away these 2 and the rest of the offense is raking...Harper and Moniak are crushing the ball.

I think today cemented Mickey's role as full time CF against RHP....even the biggest haters have to see he is not the scrawny kid anymore and he has a real chance of being a player. This first month will be an outstanding chance for him and the Phillies to see if he belongs. I would still hit Vierling against LHP, due to Moniak's splits.

I still hope the Phils are able to make a trade this week to unload either Didi or Segura....with the fire power this offense has, this is a perfect opportunity to have both Bohm and Stott starting.

I would hope that the Phils would not over react to spring training success. We have seen many (as I dub them) "Spring Training Nar" MVPs fizzle when the season starts (i.e. David Buchanan).

Hopefully Moniak can be a solid 4th OF - anything more than that would be bonus. Rather see him and Vierling getting the starts to see what they are vs Odubel, so the injury gave us that at least

While I agree that a ST surprise could amount to nothing, but this is different, he is squaring balls up...this is not a bloated average...this is a guy that is seeing the ball real well and doing some real damage.
