Muzziotti will be OK.
He's a guy who might have gotten a longer look this spring if not for what was once a surplus of questionable outfielders.
As Winkelman notes, Muzziotti was ahead of Moniak in the prospect rankings until Moniak's red-hot spring.

There has got to be someone out there better than Muzziotti or Odumbell that the Phillies can get on the cheap. Also, not yet sold on Vierling. I think he belongs on the roster, but I see him more of a bench player than a regular.

Give the kids a month.
Adding a veteran to the 40-man now means you have to dump Norwood or Nelson before you see if they can contribute.

Don't like injuries to hands.

Hope it doesn't change his swing or give him lasting pain.

The Phillies have not produced an outfielder, for what seems forever. This off-season with the signing of Schwarber and Castellanos, they essentially blocked any corner OF from having a spot on the team...especially since the DH spot is also taken.

How funny would it be if now, they finally start seeing some of these kids show some serious promise. This could be a good thing for the trade market, but it very important for teams to have youth that is cheap and controllable. It is imperative, that someone seizes the CF job, just not sure how much time some of these kids need.

Is there anyone in the pipeline who could make an impact in the next 2 years? Otherwise - you'll be on the back end of Nicky C & Kyle's contract

So you have me thinking who was the last decent quality OF out of their system? I guess Burrell (though taken that high in the draft, was expected). Maybe Byrd.
