Lot of weird buzz right now.
Best guess is the Corey Knebel is going on the COVID IL, which allows for a temporary 40-man spot.
Phillies calling up journeyman minor-league lefty Jeff Singer, who they would then have to DFA when Knebel returns. There'd be no worry of losing Singer on a DFA, as opposed to a minor-leaguer they might want to hold onto after Knebel returns.

I knew something had to be wrong when he was not brought in last night.Christopher wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 5:54 pm Lot of weird buzz right now.

I guess it is a good thing we have 3 guys in the pen that have experience in closing

Segura and Bohm sits today and we get Camargo and Stott. I really wonder if this is Joe's plan, literally sit 1 regular almost every game. I knew they were going to try to get Stott in there, but I did not know they were planning on having Camargo play this much.
Given how last night played out, I would have played Bohm today, and sat him against Mad Max tomorrow...but we are talking about Giardi, so who knows.
IMO, if Bohm on going to play 50% of the time, I would get him to AAA so that he continue to work.

Phillies faced Megill once last year...3 hitters had a good game: Herrera 2 hits 1 HR, Brad Miller 2 HR game and Bohm with 2 hits
Phillies won 5-3 in a bullpen game for the Phils

As I have stated before - they have questions with all of these guys. Stott & Bohm and Didi (to an extent) are not regulars. They and Camargo are all being given a shot and eventually whomever does the best will become the regularsheadclown wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 9:32 pm Segura and Bohm sits today and we get Camargo and Stott. Camargo had an .806 OPS in 2018, so I understand why he is in the mix
I have zero issue with rotating who plays for now - as opposed to over-reacting to a SSS and making a decision that they will regret later

Rhys the butcher....might have been a DP, good thing Stott was backing up
