He overperformed here too. Two less win than Girardi had last year with a line up that had guy like Santana, Justin Bour, Altherr, Jose Bautista, Nick Williams, Cesar Hernandez, Franco, Alfaro, Asdrubal Cabrera in it

Yes, but he pulled Nola opening day in 2018 and then had that bullpen snafu. Remember how people wanted him fired after that first series.....
Problem is, when Joe gets fired this year, they will eventually just bring in another "old school" manager

facing another pitcher that owned the Phillies last year.
Need Bryce to figure it the fuck out...he is completely lost at the plate right now. Last night he looked disinterested and as if he totally gave that last at bat away. He starts hitting and I think the others will also get it going. He and Schwarber have been the cover boys to the bad start of this season.

Probably not. When a manager gets fired, teams almost always overreact and hire the opposite. Francona was too nice so they went to Bowa. Bowa was too tough so they went to Charlie. Sandberg left and they used McCannin to stabilize a rebuild, then went outside the box with Kapler, based on the Dodgers success. That didn't work in Philly (and may never have) so they went old school retread. When Joe gets fired, they will probably go with someone 80% of us never heard of.FolesMVP09 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 8:08 pmYes, but he pulled Nola opening day in 2018 and then had that bullpen snafu. The irony now being that a lot of people probably want Nola to be done after 5 these days.FolesMVP09 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 8:08 pmYes, but he pulled Nola opening day in 2018 and then had that bullpen snafu. Remember how people wanted him fired after that first series.....

Bases loaded 1 out...huge spot for Bohm
Re: Phillies' 2022 GDT #9: 04/16/22 Phillies(3-5) @ Marlins(3-4) - 6:10pm
thats a good atbat by Bohm to get the run home there...would have liked a hit, but so important to get at least 1 there

LOL, Marlins with some keystone cops
Re: Phillies' 2022 GDT #9: 04/16/22 Phillies(3-5) @ Marlins(3-4) - 6:10pm
only 1 hit in the inning, but they make Rogers throw 40 pitches.

and that is the shit that kills the Phillies pitchers....Didi does not make the play and now Ranger has to throw more pitches versus having a 123 inning. Scored a hit, but he misplayed that ball should have been an out
