If you want to argue they should have thrown big bucks at one of the SS I'd agree but they needed big bats and got them so.

I think in that case you could have signed one of the big SS and depending on who they signed just moved either the SS or Stott to 2B when Jean is gone.

Hopefully Long can get Vierling to turn some of those 110 MPH worm killers into line drives.

You would hope that 8 runs is enough, but IMO, it is important for the Phils to put up several more runs. The offense still only has 6 hits today and most of the guys could use a good day at the plate to turn things around
