Possibly, but who takes his place? Thompson? Wathan? I don't think that does anything. Maybe Raul Ibanez, but it would be very difficult for him to come into that situation right now. I think Joe at least gets to the All Star break.

We are about at the 40 game mark. This team is going nowhere. No harm in giving someone else a chance
