Jacksonville and the Jets had AMAZING drafts
I agree. We got fleeced to move from 15 to 13. There would have been a starter at 15 no matter what happened at 13 and 14 had we stayed at 15.
However, getting AJ Brown is a good thing. That trade, with the extension, was a good football move.
This is dumb.

If the Eagles don't love up they miss out on Davis and Hamilton, then they're stuck at 15. They clearly didn't see Johnson as 15-20 and no one else did, either. Other teams wanted to get to 13. If you want a player go get him. 4th and 5th rd picks aren't making a difference, this year. They also have 2 1sts next year to continue to build on a very, very young core.

Honey Badger will likely be a starting safety for the Eagles, deal done shortly after the draft. They'll probably look at CB in the 2nd rd.

Pure speculation or rumored?
It seems the value picks in rd 2 favor S over CB. Booth is the exception but he will not make it down to us.

That's an excellent point. Davis/Hamilton were the best players on the board and a big drop off after those two. Eagles would've been stuck drafting an underwhelming IOL like Green/Johnson or McDuffie.

I suppose they could've traded down from 15 and got more assets and maybe had gotten JJII or Devin Lloyd. I would have liked that better, honestly.

But I can see the other point here too. Trading 4 picks to move up 2 spots is a steep price to pay. Better hope Davis is a star.

Do the Eagles have ANY day 3 picks left!?

They are literally at checkmate on impact WR’s, too. Total whiff of an off-season by Howie
Will gladly wear a ton of egg on this one, unless my post was hacked by Dave Spadaro at Eagles HQ and I lit a fire under Howie. In which case, I'll take any and all credit from the "gang"

In all seriousness, couldn't ask for a better move and giving Hurts his full year with the weaponry to see if he's "the guy". If for some reason he falls flat, you have ammo to go get a QB next year in a much better QB draft. If he succeeds, you got a young core that rivals any in the league.

Gotta find more D today.

They can get a CB, a S or DE, easily.
So you mentioned the 3-4 thing.

An unknown scout said and deleted that Hasaan will be in a 2 pt stance in the Eagles 5-2. You think they dump it?

Hmm. A 5-2 is obviously a modified 3-4, that would put Reddick on one side and Sweat on the other. Hell, they could wind up playing Cox-Smith-Hargrave as the base 3 DL with Barnett-Williams-Graham as the rotational DL on passing downs.

This could be a dramatic change that could really transform the defense. They'd have White, Edwards, Taylor & Bradley at LB and that might be good enough if Taylor grows as he should.

Now it's up to the DC to let the CBs play tighter to give that DL a chance.

Ross Tucker
@RossTuckerNFL

Two important points:

-Every Georgia guy (T. Walker, Wyatt, etc.) has same critique regarding "production". Only so many stats to go around.

-If Davis played more/on passing downs he's likely a top 5 pick.
