The consensus top five are Wright, Cooley, Slafkovsky, Neemec and Jiricek. One of them will fall to the Flyers unless Fletcher trades back. That IMO would be a fireable offense but since he does dizzy things all of the time without being canned, it's probably what he'll do. Hopefully the Flyers will take one of the defensemen that falls to five. Jiricek?

Love the video footage of Jiricek. 6'3, good skater, nice right handed shot.

Apparently Barry Trotz is going to interview with the Flyers on Friday.

I have NO IDEA why he'd want to come here, but if we're willing to pay big bucks to get him, maybe?

He's the best candidate for the HC position, by far.

No salary cap for the coach. Make it work Comcast.

Lamoriello indicated that Trotz was adverse to playing the you guys. Pointed out that Wahlstrom did not improve as expected. Too much veteranocity. That won't work here for Trotz. The young guys are the players here. I like Trotz's ability to get solid defensive play out of his clubs but it usually comes at the expense of their offense.

Lamoriello is clueless. The job he did last year with all the issues outside of his control was great.

I'm not interested in Trotz at all. Great coach but he's a coach you add to a team like Winnipeg or Vegas. This team is so much more than a coach away the need to focus on rebuilding instead of just chasing tweaks and "proven winners".

Forget winning now with Trotz... his impact would be developing the youth and getting the group to buy in to a team concept.

Trotz and Tortorella among the finalists for the Flyers coaching job per Frank Seravelli.

Tortorella would either be the most loved, or most hated coach in Flyers history, there would be no in between.
