I think he really overplayed his hand with JVR thinking somebody would take him without giving up heavy player/draft pick compensation. Another solid market play by Chuck.

You could make the argument that Deslauriers is the worst offensive player in the league. Could also make the argument that he's the worst player in the league.

They don't want to package picks to trade JVR to clear space for an elite player but they will package a bunch of picks for the pleasure to give QAnon Ghost $5m per. In Fletcher's world this makes sense and is good.
