Looking at the 76ers post draft, they got a younger, but slightly smaller "Danny Green" type player with a better handle and an improving 3pt shot.

Morey had a shit ton of work left to do. It's looking like they will have to have strong improvement from Reed, Joe and Brown, Milton needs to finally arrive as that 6th man, be the 76ers' Dinwiddie. They'll also have to have Springer show out. They also have Petrovic come over after his strong FIBA season and take over for Niang.

Morey might be able to make FA move, but I can't see it being a serious needle mover. In-house improvement is vital.

I want Reed in the damn rotation, not traded.

If Reed were a Raptor, he'd be playing significant minutes and already starting to realize his potential.

76ers sign 6-8 G/F Julian Champagnie from St John's, to a two-way UDFA deal. He was thought to be a mid 2nd draft pick but remained undrafted.

Melton is a good player, what are you talking about.
Upon further review, I am probably guilty of a bad take regarding Melton but isn't the injured Green a negative asset? And are we done with Isaiah Joe and Springer?

76ers sign 6-8 G League Ignite F Michael Foster Jr. to a free agent deal. He averaged 16.3 points, 10.4 rebounds and 1.9 blocks while shooting 44.4% in 15 games for the G League Ignite.

Melton is an improvement as the 1st G off the bench. He's not a starting option over Maxey, maybe they wanna go 3-guard rotation.

Green is $10m in cap space.

Joe will be a part of the rotation, Springer will play but see depth minutes.

Am I the only one thinking Melton signals Maxey being dangled for a Beal-type player?

I hope you are. This is the kind of deal that killed Morey's Rockets.

That thought came to me and it gave him chills, so I immediately took it out of my mind. My hope is that he simply wanted a better option off the bench who can defend and shoot 3s.

His moves have been similar to what he did in Houston to their ruination and Houston still has not recovered. They've gone even deeper into the tanking/rebuild model when they traded Wood.
