The Phillies have recalled OF Matt Vierling from Lehigh Valley (AAA), selected the contract of INF/OF Scott Kingery from Lehigh Valley, placed INF Johan Camargo on the 10-day IL (retro to 6/6) with a right knee strain and placed RHP Zack Wheeler on the paternity list.

Kingery has been dreadful at LHV, but maybe this is a chance to have him spend a couple days around veterans and coaches who might have some advice/encouragement for him.

Vierling looked good last year and in spring training, but it was such a small sample size, it was foolish to think he could be an every day player. Because he can play a number of positions and has above average speed, he can be a useful bench piece, but nothing more. Kingery? That dog won't hunt.

Need more from Realmuto in big spots.
Chance to break it open and he kept jumping at inner half pitches, getting that bat head out and topping the ball left side.
