Game 1 goes to the Avalanche in OT, 4-3.
What a beautiful hockey game.
This is hockey at a level so far above what the Flyers can offer. The skating, passing & playmaking is jawdropping.

Couldn't agree more Belmont. Watching these two teams is bittersweet. The quick decision-making and passing is a real thing of beauty. Yet I cant help but compare to the flyers. The av and lightning players believe in each other. None of that with the flyers.

Wow. The Avs have come out flying, the Lightning have no answers and they're back on their heels. The Avs are taking apart a back to back SC champ in this one. They found their measure in Game 1 and opened up a can of whoop ass in Game 2.

What a damned impressive season and dominant playoff runs you'll ever see.
Speed,.skill and toughness, a team built for NHL 2022, but also any era. This team could easily skate with the 85 Oilers.

Yeah, sadly you watch a team like the Avs and realize they are everything the Flyers are not. Gonna take quite a while to get to their level.
