Giants listening again on Rodon, which changes dynamics of what's available starting pitching-wise.

Carlos Rodón would be a massive get for the Phillies, but would also be a very 'win-now' play. If they're aiming to nab him, he can't be their sole acquisition. I still think a pitcher with control makes the most sense, but Rodón is easily the most tantalizing arm out there.

If the Phillies landed Carlos Rodon, they’d have three starters currently sitting top 10 in Cy Young odds. No team, in either league, has more than two. Make happen, Dombrowski.

The asking price for starters Carlos Rodon, Tyler Mahle and Noah Syndergaard remains sky-high, rival team executives say, with some contenders already bowing out of the bidding and staying pat.
Not enough Prellers or Friedmans in MLB with the desire to make ballsy moves with potentially great ramifications

Not interested in Rodon. He's good but he can opt out at the end of the season and will. He's just a rental although a quality one.

Trading a top catching prospect for a .230 hitter with personal hygiene issues. The Yankees would make him cut that fucking brush on his face.
