Count me among the older fans, and those Pirates uniforms remind me of very competitive Pittsburgh teams. Beating the Pirates was always an accomplishment. Phillies' Pirates games often had crazy finishes. A great rivalry not no longer exists.

I have no idea why they keep him on this team. He's totally worthless. Appel has options probably, but I agree with you.
