Totally unacceptable.

Feels like a loss.
Familia better be gone tomorrow

On the positive - thank god for Seranthony

I don't like him, but Alvarado has been decent since he came back

A win is a win, but Familia has to go immediately. He has not been good since 2018 and giving him $6M was just a typical terrible Phillies bullpen signing. There was nothing in his recent history warranting giving him anything beyond a non-roster invite to spring training. GM has to be better than that.

He has been. He's been very effective. He's backed off tryna throw everything as hard as he can. He's knocked off a couple MPH for improved accuracy and he's added a nice little cutter with natural but more subtle movement than the wildness of his sinker.

46 hits in 33 innings. Jesus.

I gave the Phillies the benefit of the doubt that they only reason they sent Appel down was so he could log innings during the All-Star Break. He has earned a spot on this roster and should replace Familia immediately.
