Hope Keith Hernandez isn't watching this one. It should really be 2-0. I don't know who made the call, but if Rhys cuts the ball off, Cahna is a dead duck at second for the third out.

Constantly swinging out of the zone.

No composure, no discipline, no patience.

Jumping to swing at pitches they have no business even offering at.

This is where injuries hurt. Vierling is a AAAA outfielder

Anyways Mets are way better that winning 1 of 3 without Harper and Schwarber is fine.

Hard to score when half the lineup is Stott Vierling Marsh Nick Manton etc

Mets are all veteran players who work every AB and make contact
This Phillies lineup has young players for who the moment is just too big, especially against great pitching

Damn. Obviously not Wheeler's day. Thankfully we gutted out a game 1 win.

Nobody is challenging that notion one bit.
The Phillies are a playoff game, but will have to up their game in October.
50/50 at best that they are a playoff team - Bryce is still 2+ weeks away and if their pitching slips just a little, they are in deep trouble with this lineup

Phillies have essentially scored 1 run in this series; none for 24 innings (I am not counting the ghost run)

I knew that Wheeler had to keep it to 1 or less to have a shot today

Much as I hate the ghost runner, you still have to count it. Mets had same thing in their bottom half of the 10th, but our bullpen held them. So we deserved that win.
