This is setting up as a frustrating missed opportunity with Suarez's outstanding start

Double blargh.

The first blargh was for not scoring in 9 innings.
Second blargh for was for Seranthony losing it in the bottom of the ninth.

Opportunity wasted, big time

Very disappointing effort with the bats.

They made it easy for the rookie.

They were already on the plane, home.

Should played Stott, rather than let him sit and think about his 0-for-6

4 straight losses that were shutouts - ugh

If they can get to the postseason, at least they have the pitching to be competitive

The Phillies have claimed OF Bradley Zimmer off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays. To make room for Zimmer, OF Bryce Harper was transferred to the 60-day IL and OF Brandon Marsh was placed on the 10-day IL with a left ankle sprain (retro to 8/17).

Bradley Zimmer is batting .105 this year and striking out in 38% of his plate appearances this year, but it appears that he can play center field without falling down a lot. So that's where we are.

I guess there's no desire to put Dalton Guthrie in CF. He's played 50 games there this year.
