They've moved up to AA, with any success for either or both, I'm giving them both a big league spring training invite and giving them both a full opportunity to see if they're ready to graduate to the back end of the rotation.

Problem is, I don't know that you can count on Eflin and they badly need him as a stable #3. I think Suarez has shown he's capable of being a #2 to Wheeler's #1. If you trade Nola for a package with a young pitcher with potential for a 4th spot, you could begin 2023 with:

Wheeler
Suarez
Eflin(?)/Gibson
Gibson/Trade Pitcher
Painter/Abel

I'd put whichever prospect doesn't make it in AAA to get ready for spot starts or injury replacement. If you trade Nola to restock, sign a 2/3 starter if there are concerns about Eflin's health.

You can't count on Eflin. He has a $15m option with a $150K buyout. I have to believe that he'll be a free agent
