Hope the team shows up today. A win today would do wonders for my mental health/Mets hatred, even knowing today's outcome doesn't mean a ton in grand scheme of the stretch run.

After today 19 of the next 22 against sub 500 teams.

Need to take advantage of the stretch, because if they are not up by a few games at the end of it, that 9 game Braves/Blue Jays stretch could cost them

Well, that's not great news at all, even though Knebel was probably the guy I was least optimistic about in terms of getting meaningful late-game outs, anyway.

It could be worse, I guess. Yankees fans have starting talking about the 1964 Phillies.

Supposedly Conforto will be ready to play in Sept

Not great defensively, but worth a shot to add the roster by 8/31

I'd look at giving McGarry and/or Erik Miller a roster spot before Sept. 1 and see if they can catch some lightning in a bottle as a bullpen boost. If it doesn't work out, they haven't sacrificed anything. Just go back to the other guys. Curious what Doc thinks.

Probably that, too. But I've definitely seen 64 Phillies mentions.
