Awful, the man had 2 outs and got an easy roller to Segura who let the ball play him and didn't get the 3rd out. It was 7-3. He was out of the inning. He gets that out, the Phillies probably win.

Infield defense is still an issue, both he and Bohm made crucial fielding errors you just can't make.

The obsession with trashing Suarez is a bit disturbing. He's been consistently good all year. He's supposed to be the 4th starter so what he's provided is outstanding. He doesn't deserve the hate.

Meh I’ve never really talked about him this year but like some other guys we’ve seen with no real out pitch, he needs to be slotted correctly, at the end of the rotation.

Having him as your 3rd to start a playoff game is bonkers.

But he's the 4th starter pressed into the 3rd spot. He's done the job with Eflin out. Most 3rd, 4th and 5th starters pitch to contact and aren't major strike out pitchers. That's mainly 1s and 2s. Don't you think it's unrealistic to expect him to K dudes? He's supposed to induce weak contact and the defense needs to make the plays. You can't give teams 4 and 5 outs without it biting you in the ass. Right?

Yeah of course not, and I get all that.

And I think he has been pretty good replacing Eflin, but long term I think this team takes the next step when they aren’t having to trot out Ef and Suarez.

Would actually not hate Suarez as a swing guy.
