JT is the team mvp this year
Which is amazing given how the year started.
But he really is, given how much time so many key guys have missed. He had a 5.2 WAR entering tonight's game.

2.5 ahead of the Padres and, more importantly, on the verge of being 4.5 ahead of the Brewers

Still need 6 more outs

Cutch just struck out with 2 on, 2 out

So, it's really bad juju to say this, but should we be rooting for the Braves to pass the Mets?

I know the Mets have our number & Scherzer/DeGrom potential is no party, but the Braves have been the best team in baseball for 3 months

I know. I can come up with an optimistic scenario against either team, IF the Phillies are close to full strength.
I just think the Mets are riper for succumbing to the October pressure than Atlanta

Phils need to survive the 9 games starting Friday still up by a bit, for us to worry about anything else. Really need the Cards to hold on

and the Cubs who we play after are about to sweep the Mets

I truly think that's a greater reflection on the Mets than it is on the Cubs. They are feeling the pressure.

The Mets and Braves would make it something of a moot point who wins the division if the Cardinals finish with the NL’s second-best record. The Cardinals won yesterday and trail the Mets and Braves by four games in the loss column.
