Disappointing.
2 score lead but these are wasted opportunities and it continues that Steichen holds back the offense in the 2nd half. They are gonna wind up needing to turn it on against someone and it's gonna cost them.

Steichen goes into these situations 1st looking to eat clock rather than gaining 1st downs. It's infuriating. His play calls are too basic, they aren't aggressive and he's wasting top talent and not putting enough pressure on opposing defenses.

There is zero creativity on 1st down. Zero.
It causes all kinds of problems with long 2nd and 3rd downs. You also get these stupid penalties. Lucky offsetting this time.
