Offense has to come up big again to have a shot

Today's game will tell us more.

I hope there are enough veterans on the team that they understand this is exponentially the hardest game to win of any series.

The crowd will help but it won't be nearly sufficient by itself.

Laser focus, no missed opportunities, work the count against Morton and those who follow.
Focused, but not anxious.
Don't give the Braves an opportunity to take a breath, regain confidence or get out from under the pressure they're feeling.

The plan, per Rob Thomson: Syndergaard for once through the order. The late-inning relievers are fresh and can be pushed. Zack Wheeler could start Game 5 on short rest. He also could appear in today’s game as a reliever if a need arises. Everything on the table.

I think Wheeler could give them 4 innings tomorrow and be their best pitcher available, so it would really have to be an extraordinary scenario to use him today, I think. You have to walk a fine line between managing this like Game 7 and making sure that Kyle Gibson isn't your only pitcher available for Game 5.

I think they pitched Suarez first so that Wheeler and Nola could pitch twice in the next series.

No - they weren't going to use Wheeler on 3 days rest in game 1

Next series is not a factor in any decision and not even a concern unless they win 1 more.

I have three comments:

1. I believe that the Mets and Braves spent so much energy trying to win the division, that they didn't think much about the Phillies.

2. Starting Strider yesterday was a mistake, would have been better in relief. Plus, they left him in too long.
