Robertson threw a bullpen session today. Rosters set Tuesday. Thomson said he’ll only add Robertson if he’d be available starting Game 1, not “later in the series”

It is exciting that after 12 years this team has made it back to the NLCS. Whether they win or not, this team has accomplished something

Just going to hope for the best,

I agree. While the guys in the Phillies clubhouse certainly do not (and should not) feel this way, I think we're in the gravy part of the season.
And, realistically, I'd say the Padres are only about a 55% favorite to win this series. It's basically a coin flip at this point if we go to the World Series. It will be painful if we don't. But this season will be looked back upon as a step forward either way now.

All that said, I think the Phillies split in San Diego and then win three straight in Philly. :)

WIPE OUT THE PADRES.

For the Phillies-Padres NLCS, it will be Joe Davis and John Smoltz on the call. Ken Rosenthal and Tom Verducci will be the dugout reporters.

John Smoltz is really good IMO, although he allowed some salty Braves fan stuff to slip out at the end of that series e.g. that the Phillies drove in some runs on softly hit balls without taking into account that the Braves won game 2 with a three spot inning without a sharply hit ball.

You could (if you were ok with the delay) alter your TV to sync it up to the radio feed with Frankse and LA

NLCS Roster:
-- Robertson in
-- Nelson out

Big add IF he's effective.
Right now, they need to ride Alvarado & Dominguez as their high-leverage relievers.
I'd use Robertson like Eflin: For lesser-difficult late innings; could even close, if it's the bottom of the order after Alvarado/Dominguez handled the top of the inning.

Heard discussion on the radio about how Soto has good #s against Wheeler & Nola

Not letting him kill us is one of the keys

Phils have to split the first 2 to have a shot
