I really don't like their chances in this game. Musgrove is real good and Ranger is iffy at best
If Ranger doesn't go at least 5, will tax their bullpen for game 4.
I have been wrong about this team a lot of late, so hopefully they prove me wrong again

Doesn't look good on paper, but the Phils weren't supposed to beat the Cards or the Braves either. If the Phils had lost the first game and won the second, we'd be thrilled with a split, but I think being up 1-0 and giving Nola a 4 run lead, it was looking good. Losing that game is kind of a downer, but the Phils are tough at home.

At least Ranger is capable of a dazzling performance. On the flip side, one of our hitters needs to run into a fastball early and turn the crowd on.

they knocked musgrove around when he faced the phils in june. may not amount to nothing now.
good luck to anyone going with the smashing pumpkins show happening and... temple football. will be a traffic nightmare prolly

For the Phils to win tonight, I think they need 5 IP, 2 runs max from Ranger
If they do somehow win, it will be an extra inning walkoff,...

Offense has to set the tone for this game. Got to jump on Musgrove early and keep going.
If Suarez gets to 5IP, I'll be surprised.
For the Phillies to win, I think they'll need about 7 runs.

While you do have to know when to pull the hook, I hope Thomson doesn't overmanage both Game 3 and 4 with the pitching. At some point, you have to try to trust someone to give you some innings. Can't be just Wheeler + Nola + multiple bullpen games.
While Thomson said everything is on the table, I don't think they can use Thor tonight. Tomorrow's game is must-win if they lose tonight, and he's their best shot to keep them in a Game 4

already annoyed with the announcers. Davis - padres are happy and were hoping for a split at home b/c they have musgrove in game 3. pretty sure home team hopes for and wants to be up 2-0 especially with next three on road.
