Phillies win 18-1.
Gibson pitches final three innings to earn the save.

If Thor, et al. hold the Astros to 1 run it truly is destiny.

MLB officials, after meeting 30 minutes ago, are next scheduled to meet with the #Phillies and #Astros at 5 p.m. to determine whether they will try to play tonight’s Game 3 of the World Series. They are hoping for a final decision no later than 6:30 p.m.

If tonight's game is postponed, #MLB likely will still have a travel day on Friday for the two teams, moving potential Game 6 to Saturday and potential Game 7 to Sunday at Minute Maid Park in Houston. The next update by MLB remains at 5 p.m.

Yes, a rainout hypothetically helps the Phillies pitchers get more rest. Whether it would play out that way is another matter.

I'm looking at it more from the perspective that you don't want to make weather/sloppy conditions and decisive factor in the World Series, if it's at all avoidable.

Harper's HR changed everything. But we might have been talking about the conditions Seranthony was forced to pitch in for decades if the Phillies had lost that game. That's no way for EITHER team to have a big game decided.

Agreed - game 5 in 08 was a mess that the Rays took advantage of to score 2 off of Cole.

So, if cancelled

G3 Suarez
G4 Nola
G5 Wheeler
G6 Thor (if Nec)
G7 Suarez/Nola/Wheeler/kitchen sink (if nec)

Game 7 is iffy in either scenario. With no rain out; game 7 is Thor + bullpen, Nola on 2 days rest and/or Suarez on 3 days
