OK.............

So, everyone & their uncle says it's clear McCullers was tipping his pitches tonight. Phillies teed off. Credit their scouts, too.
But let's not dismiss that Suarez and our bullpen's B unit shut out the Astros in a World Series game.

Tomorrow, we need:
-- Ace Nola (this is the most important thing)
-- generate runs without necessarily hitting a bunch of homers
-- early lead, to really keep pressure on Astros' hitters, who are pressing & doubting

Cristian Javier will be a tough, tough, tough customer. Possibly a better pitcher than Valdez, but at least he's a righty. Phillies will need to avoid a rash of strikeouts, which again gets back to looking to string hits together, not swing for the fences.

But, smile. We've won two games in the 2022 World Series and have the next two games at home. The "everything is gravy" train is a fun ride.

McCullers. Stanek. Urquidy.

Astros will have Abreu, Montero, Brown, Garcia, Smith, Brown, Neris, and Pressly available tomorrow.

Phillies used 5 pitchers tonight.

======================

Does this wingnut realize we just finished out a World Series win with the back end of the bullpen?
We have Alvarado and Dominguez fresh for tomorrow. If Thomson is in a position to go up 3-1, do you think he won't try to use them for 9-10 outs?

We also have Eflin available for a multiple-inning outing, if needed, in Game 4 or 5.

1. Added a small fix
2. If those two things happen, the planet might split in two from the shaking.

Lot of work remains. The Astros are the best team in baseball and could spring to life at any moment.
They could win three of the next four games without breaking a sweat.
But here's the thing: They MUST win three of the next four games. Or else. #PressureIsOn

Another must-win tomorrow.
Don't want a 2-2 tie heading into a Game 5 matchup of Angry Verlander vs. Thor.
