Replays showed his eyes were on Altuve just before the ball hit his glove.

Indeed.

I wish they would leave him in Philly and not take him to Houston.

My prediction before the series was Astros in 6.

It's possible that all of these are true:
-- This is NOT the path I thought we'd take to Astros having a 3-2 lead
-- Some elements of the Phillies' losses have been excruciating
-- The Phillies have played the most talented team in baseball FAR CLOSER than they I thought they would
-- Both bullpens have dominated, which is way more surprising for the Phillies than the Astros, who simply have the best bullpen in baseball. We've matched them, arm for arm.
-- While it's unlikely, there's a nonzero chance the Phillies win two games this weekend. Let's just see what happens.

Zack Wheeler, bothered my arm fatigue, was fine in his bullpen session on Thursday and will still start in Game 6 but #Phillies manager Rob Thomson said that Ranger Suarez will be available in relief, pitching Aaron Nola if there’s a Game 7.

Obviously it must be "all hands" for Game 6.
I think the longshot scenarios in which they win the World Series involve quality starts by both Wheeler and Suarez.

But that Kyle Gibson Hero Mode moment is still in play, too.

It is more than just a quality start, they may need a shutout in game 6. Don't see them scoring more than 1 unless Houston is up by a few.

I agree with your other comments. I always saw this series as Astros in 6, even when they were up 2-1. What is disappointing is that if you had told me that they would hold them to 3 in a bullpen game, I'd been thrilled.

I was resigned to the fact that the series was over after the 3rd inning Weds as hitting Javier seemed unlikely

As you said, they have a non-zero chance, but Houston's pitching is too good.

I just hope that if we lose game 6 it is like we did in 09 and not 93
