He showed progress this year and, also, you can't have $20M guys at every position.

I think, as much as anything, I'm excited to see what Stott and Bohm do next year.
Agreed. And I'm guessing Turner is going to come in in the $30's instead of the $20's.

No, I don't think he gets an AAV over $30M AND contract length. He'll turn 30 early in the season.

I think to land Turner it will take something like 7/180. That's the reality of it.

If that would do it, the Phillies should grab him. SSs usually are the best athletes on the club and age pretty well if their arms hold up. CIP-Bowa.

Tyler Anderson, who the Phillies could have had on a one-year deal for $2M less than Corey Knebel, gets a $19.65M qualifying offer from the Dodgers

Wasn't he the guy that they traded for in 2021 and the deal got cancelled due to an injury concern? and we wound up with Kyle " I would have won game 7" Gibson?

Yep, the trade with the Pirates got frotzed.

I was pushing for him last winter when he was a free agent (and I thought there were too many question marks, including Suarez) in the rotation.

Setting aside the Phillies, what does everyone think for the big stuff?

I think Aaron Judge is going to end up on the Giants.

DeGrom's interest in joining the Rangers confuses me; clearly wants money over a ring. Wonder if there's a Ewing Theory of him leaving NY

If Judge does leave NYY, they'll have to do something, so I could them going for Correa (though there's of course a toxic-Houston element to that)

Meaningless - but fun to read. MLB trade rumors predictions for the top 50 free agents

https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/11/ ... 22-23.html

Multiple staff members give predictions, but at least 1 vote for the Phillies to get

Turner
Rodon
Verlander
Taylor Rogers
Carlos Estevez
Stripling
Ottaviano

I don't see the Yankees letting Judge go
