I'll give them a little credit. I think Cohen knows correctly that Bauer would not be a good idea for NYC, either for the fan base or the major spotlight

Correa now signs with the Twins at a much lower cost. Those medicals must be something else...

Cohen counting the days until he puts 600 million in front of Juan Soto

Definitely some interesting stuff coming up.

Manny Machado can opt out of his deal after 2023, and I think he will. He can guarantee himself WAY more than the 5/160 he's currently set to be paid in his 30s. Both New York teams will be in on that action. I think that's why San Diego signed Boegarts, as insurance for losing Machado. (And we can THANK HEAVENS that Harper didn't build any opt outs into his deal.)

Of course Shohei Ohtani is a free agent after 2023, too.

And yeah, Juan Soto after 2024.

One of the funniest part of this whole saga (though not funny for the Phillies), is that I think Brett Baty is going to be a very good MLB third baseman.

Mets might have just stupided themselves into being better in the long run

Of minor interest, Mickey Moniak appears to have fallen to #6 on the Angels' outfield depth chart.

I thought they'd have some interest in giving him an extended audition in 2023, but perhaps they saw enough after his 25 strikeouts and 1 walk in 62 plate appearances last year.

Dodgers' offseason really only makes sense if they're super-duper confident they'll be landing Shohei Ohtani sometime between July and December.

Mike Clevinger is under investigation for domestic violence and child abuse.

If he's guilty, I hope his zero-outs, infinity-ERA start vs. the Phillies in the NLCS is that last time he steps onto the field as an MLB player.

Already rumblings about Mets & Machado next winter. But I think they're going to have to deal with pitching.

But on Opening Day 2024, Max Scherzer will be nearly 40 and Justin Verlander will be 41. They're going to have to find a way to address their rotation.

New 11-year, $350MM contact reworking to keep Manny Machado in San Diego and away from free agency next winter.

The market is now one man: Shohei Ohtani.

It's going to be bonkers.
