Before my time, but from what I have read and looking at his stats, a real good pitcher
With his passing, no one from the Whiz Kids is still alive

RIP...
So many great stories on that roster, from Eddie Waitkus to Dick Sisler to Andy Seminick to Robin Roberts to Jim Konstanty to Granny Hamner to Richie Ashburn.
(I will say, as a historical aside, that those Phillies might not have been one-and-done as a pennant winner if they hadn't been one of the last teams in Major League Baseball to integrate.)
