One man lost this game for the Eagles...

Jonathan Gannon

I'll never forgive Gannon.

Unfortunately, this is exactly what I said would happen, 2 months ago.

I said his bullshit soft zone and terrible playcalling would cost them vs a top QB, in the playoffs. Gannon was spotted a 10pt lead and called a soft, scared game in the 2nd half.

I really hope that the bullshit penalty called at the end that sealed it is not the focus of this game. The focus needs to be on Gannon and how the defense he called could not get us off the field.

Only one turnover in the entire game and it proved to be very costly.

It was the only blemish on what was a brilliant performance by Hurts.

All 4 Fox hosts picked the Eagles.

That was the 1st time I had any doubt about the Eagles winning and it sent a chill down my spine.

The two touchdowns by KC in the second half where there wasn't an Eagle defender within 20 yards is a perfect example of how badly Gannon was outcoached.

Where is Buff?

Do you FINALLY understand what I've been worried about with Gannon? He can't get this defense off the field. He does not put the talent he has in a position to win.

Two of the NFL's greatest teams facing off today. Somebody has to win and somebody will come up short.

Tons of confidence in the Eagles, so we'll see how it goes. Just want to see them play their game and coach as they have all year (including fourth-down decisions). And nothing dirty/unprofessional/unsportsmanlike. Play the game right, and with heart. That should really be enough. And if it's not, c'est la vie.

This board rocks, BTW. Already a winner.
Everything here still stands.
This was always a 50-50 game.
This was always coming down to the last team to have the ball (with time) winning the game.
So much of this game reminded me of all the good and gut-wrenching things about Super Bowl LII. Clutch moments. Unstoppable offenses. Big calls. It was kind of eerie.
So proud of the Eagles.

NOBODY lost this game. Not a player, coach, referee or play-call decision. The Chiefs were better by 3 points on this given day in an epic showdown. Play this game 100 times and the Eagles win 50. Mahomes pulls this game out 50 times and Hurts pull it out the other 50.

So fucking proud of that TD and two-point conversion to tie the game. That's my 2022 Eagles. That's the lasting memory.
We have the best QB in the NFC, we have the best team in the NFC, we have the best roster management in the NFC and a helluva coaching staff.
This ain't gonna be this gang's last Super Bowl.

You can not give up 24 2nd half points like that.

By the way, Steichen doesn't get off the hook for HIS boring ass, predictable play calling that Reid and his staff OBVIOUSLY knew was coming and they shut it down.

He continues to handcuff Jalen with his shitty 1st down calls. They followed the blueprint to get to 2nd and long, 3rd and long, then send 2 extra men,. LB and a S, Steichen never adjusted to a hot route, a screen or flare pass to a back to make them pay. Just the same shit we've seen that Reid prepared for.
