Cowboys trade for Brandin Cooks
Gonna make a bold statement...

OBJ comes here on a one year deal and plays the slot.
He is going to want too much $$$
I heard he was looking for 20 million. In fairness some of the top WR's received between 25 - 30 million (including our AJ Brown).

OBJ is no longer a top receiver. Beware the overpay for past performance.

Has to be more behind the scenes because that is not a lot of money. Safety is now a big issue.

Supposedly they offered him a multi-year deal that he rejected, as his agent misread the market
Eagles spent their $$$ elsewhere.

Eagles should now get a 3 and 3 5s as comp picks

So for next year, Eagles currently have 12 picks. I expect them to use a few non-comp picks to move up if needed this year

The Eagles offered him a comparable deal that he rejected, earlier. He was expecting a multiyear deal with a $12-13m AAV and got no where near that, hence the tweet about disrespect. Rather than accept the multiyear deal with the Eagles, his pride hurt, he chose to bet on himself with the Lions. They play a more aggressive defensive system he thinks will showcase his talent, then he'll try again in FA, next year.

Seems like they went after him first. He rejected the deal, and this was why they could get Bradberry, and Slay back.

CJGJ should fire his agency immediately for this.

They offered him a deal that reflected their interests and their concerns. The deals for the CBs had no bearing on bringing back CJGJ. They could afford him if they wanted. They were given the chance to match the Lions' deal, they declined.

The Eagles structured the 3yr deal the way they did because they had concerns about his behavior if he signed long term.

If you've seen his social media, you can see he's volatile. He even dropped a tweet claiming he was "blackballed". He's a loose cannon.

the SAF Justin Evans signing just looks like warm body roster filler.
the LB Nicholas Morrow signing is more promising. hopefully they see something from him they'd like within their system
