Think about just how sad that statement is.

That's 3 of the saddest forwards in the league.

The Warriors showed how you play scramble defense and still manage to challenge every shot while leaving shitty shooters open to brick.

Also Embiid was noticeably frustrated after two of the PnR with Maxey. On one he had a wide open lane and passed it back to Embiid because he had already decided he was going to.

His decision making stinks honestly.

Also I’ll say it again and you might get annoyed, but I think Maxey is going to really hurt us on defense in the playoffs. I’ll be fine with exploring if we could get more of a 2 way guy similar age guy for him this offseason.

He's 22.

Twenty-two.

You can't teach what he does on offense. He's got a ridiculous natural feel for offense. You never give up on that kind of kid. He will learn to play defense. He is a work in progress and he will get better as he gets older and understands how to. He also needs to develop into a man's body, especially his upper body.

I understand and share your concerns about defense, but it's a group issue, with Harden and Milton having their own issues.

That said, the offense from Harden/Maxey will mask defensive issues. That's not the issue for this team, the issue is Rivers, Tucker & Niang.

Don't give up on 22yo phenoms. They don't come along very often.
