Though, I do worry why Smith has dropped so much

There were two definitive non-QB difference makers in this draft, Jalen Carter and Bijan Robinson. Howie Roseman made a 2022 trade to gain a 2023 1st rd pick and wound up with the #1 ranked player in the 2023 draft.

I'm stunned. But then I'm not.

I'm torn between taking Branch if he's there or trading down for a 2nd and a 4th.

I''d take Branch

I got a weird feeling that they are going to draft the TE Mayer

Unless they trade down

Nolan Smith, Michael Mayer and Brian Branch would be my top 3 (in no particular order)

Really cannot lose with the pick

If there's 4-5 guys they like and someone wants to give them something to slide down 2-3 slots, go for it.

Everything has just fallen into the Eagles' lap.

I really wish there was a way to get a 2nd rd pick without a trade down.

Branch really sets up the defense. Having Smith allows for a full 3-4, 5-2 implementation.

Well, hopefully Smith didn't drop for a reason as some mocks had him going 10

An all GA defense

Nolan Smith it is.
They didn't overthink it. Incredible get at #30.
What a pair of bolsters to the pass rush.
