Emerging from his cave. Finally. Can Nola protect 7?

Of course, Cave and Harrison come through.

This team has one of the worst allocations of unnecessary additional runs I've seen. But we take what we can get.

This will probably end up an 11-6 win.

The weird thing is, whether it's 9-0 or 19-0, they really need 7 from Nola today to help refresh the bullpen.

Although I guess they could just gamble and let McKinley Moore get the last 10-12 outs.
They really need a long mop-up guy. I guess that was supposed to be Vasquez, but he's too good to waste today, with no off days coming up!

Given that lack of alternatives, that probably saves them until at least the end of the month.

I think we're on to something 'round here.

We need to individually criticize the ones sucking and then they'll perform.

Stop making foolish mistakes…Steal some bases..hit the ball hard the other way ….Start to live up to the press notices and the contract…Thus far, pretty unimpressed with him, batting average not withstanding.
Generally agree with this, with regard to his early performance.
A baseball season is one of hot streaks and slumps, and I was worried that his adrenaline at the World Baseball Classic wouldn't last into the regular season. Needs to recapture that energy of playing for Team USA.

Fair point. Let’s see him pick it up in Chicago.

We are at 10+ guys who need to "pick it up" ... I think my top three would be Nola, Wheeler & Dominguez.

There are lots of other ways that guys can pick up their teammates on a daily basis is someone is slumping. But this team will just putter along below .500 if those guys don't pitch like stars.

Bohm needs to glove that.

Needs to slide and keep it in front of him.
