Not good

"Probably 50% at best", is how Doc Rivers described the odds that Joel Embiid will be ready to play by the start of the second round series.

Got a week off, likely.
Hopefully, Bos-Atl goes 6.

Every friggin year he gets hurt, and has to miss time. Tries to play at 50-75% and just doesn't work...
Celtics in 5.

I think people need to have a reminder of certain facts. This was Joel Embiid 10yrs ago. Look at this image and really think about it.
Embiid is a SF who grew into a massive center in 10yrs. The human body wasn't meant to do what he does at his size and there's a price to pay for that. The stress he puts on his frame, on his joints, will make him more susceptible.
What's unfortunate is that some among our fan base choose to act out and get angry at him, as if he has any control. He could play the way Jokic does, with minimal physical effort, no athleticism. Be thankful for what we have and wish him the best for a speedy recovery. We can also hope this was more than anything, a business decision by the 76ers to get him away from a franchise that was seeking to harm him.
He has put on 120+ lbs on THAT frame. Those are his joints, his hips, knees and ankles. Someone like Jokic has always been "big boned", he's always dealt with weight on his frame. Other bigs have always been big.Embiid is a SF who grew into a massive center in 10yrs. The human body wasn't meant to do what he does at his size and there's a price to pay for that. Bel, First off... "You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post." is what I see every time a pic is posted here. So, unfortunately, I cannot see the growth you are referencing to.BelmontShore wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2023 2:11 pm I think people need to have a reminder of certain facts. But I get it. He's a big dude. Just seems like his injuries come at the wrong time (i.e. playoffs). I don't hate the player, I hate the situation right now. Been frustrated about it.
If the Sixers want to beat Boston, they need everyone, especially Embiid at 100%.

It wasn't meant as an indictment of you, Cap.
Also, I think I finally figured out the permissions issue I didn't realize so many were having. I thought it was just a couple people.

So sorry, guys. It's so weird. There is nothing that says "allow to view" images. There is no reference to images. There is only an option that says "can download files" and I've kept that off thinking it was a protection against bad actor files. Holy hell.FolesMVP09 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 11:35 pmIt is working now - thanks!BelmontShore wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 11:06 pm It wasn't meant as an indictment of you, Cap.
