Why does Schwarber continue to get starts over Marsh?

Not scoring against quantifiably awful starting pitchers is so frustrating.

Phillies have nicely allowed Gomber to get his season ERA under 6.00

If the Padres lose to LA, Phils will be in the 3rd wild card position....

#398 for Kimbrel
Kenley Jansen got #400 this week.
The career numbers for those two are almost identical. They are #7 and #8 on the all-time list, but the three guys right in front of them -- Francisco Rodriquez, John Franco and Billy Wagner -- won't make the Hall of Fame, and I doubt Jansen and Kimbrel will make it, either.

Whether he's the actual starter or not, you'd think they'd want to line up Strahm for 3 innings that day. Though they might not have the luxury to rest him 2-3 days beforehand, with Alvarado outFolesMVP09 wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2023 2:56 am Phils are going to use an opener for Falter's next start
(EDIT: Though I see Falter WILL pitch in that game, just not first. Certainly the hope would be for him to get 9-12 outs.)
