The Clippers and Sixers have been in contact this week, league sources told @YahooSports, where Los Angeles — among wide-ranging talks on Marcus Morris and Norman Powell — have approached Philadelphia on separate ideas of trading for James Harden and Tobias Harris. twitter.com/jakelfischer/s…

76ers had no good options this offseason.

Run it back was no more appealing than blow it up. This core is not winning the East.

Expiring contract for Morris($16m) that dovetails with Harris' contract ending. Powell is a tough player, good handle, goes to the hole strong and can shoot 3s as a SG with Maxey. His deal ends in 2026.

Sixers traded Simmons, Curry, Drummond and 2 firsts for Harden. They won't get close to that in return.

If the Sixers knew they'd get game 1 Boston Harden, I think he'd have a long term deal. HIs nonchalance and propensity to disappear in the playoffs was maddening. I am pleased with this development but I don't see how they can improve.

I'm waiting for Tim Perry, Andrew Lang, and Jeff Hornacek to come back for Harden.

I mean thats most likely what the Sixers are getting back. Don't see a big haul in return.
