I did not need Embiid backing Rivers.
I can't take another season of him on the bench.

Man woke up thinking.
What exactly was Doc’s adjustment when the Celtics made Embiid and Harden so uncomfortable playing the 2 bigs?
The answer can’t be just put the game on corner 3s from Tobias and PJ.
Slander the players sure, but man he did nothing to make their life easier.

Only thing I was thinking was maybe put Paul in with Embiid when Horford and WIlliams were on the court.awfulstack wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 11:48 am Man woke up thinking.

I don't know at this point. It's over man. Regroup, and see what they can do with limited options.

i thought Docs adjustment wasn't terrible in game 6. Williams was roaming off his guy to mess up the PNR. Doc put in Niang, who hit a few but then was largely ignored.
overall, they all deserve blame. Game 6 that long stretch where they didn't hit shots. There were open looks from deep. Game 7's disappearing act is big but that third quarter - man. i've never seen anything like it.

So who do we want (assuming Jay Wright is not a viable option)
Monty Williams?
Sam Cassell?
Nick Nurse?

Spoke it into existence.
Glenn Rivers fired.
Unfortunately, D'Antoni is thought to be the lead candidate as Morey further bows down to Harden.

Mike Budenholzer, Sam Cassell, Mike D’Antoni, Nick Nurse, Frank Vogel and Monty Williams are the current candidates.

I wish this was a different time for Sam, but he's not the right guy for this situation the 76ers are in.
With no cap space and no draft picks, the only chance they have is to develop the kids. They need Reed, Maxey, Springer, Milton & King and a couple of Blue Coats to really develop. Therefore, Nick Nurse is the best candidate.
D'Antoni's system doesn't work in the playoffs.
