They've needed a pure PG for quite some time. They've certainly needed one since TJ left and they have never given Joel a high end PG. I do think though if they let go of Harden they need a point guard. Their offense was pretty atrocious in the half court before Harden. Someone that can make the game easier. We can kill Harden but he created a lot of easy shots for Joel.

The Celtics used a lot of energy to beat the 76ers in 7 games. The Heat did not get pressed too hard vs the Knicks. Brunson kept them close but that wasn't a physically demanding series. The Celtics used up a tremendous amount of energy and the Heat are as athletic, they are physically stronger.
